ESG has a long history of testing air quality and emissions, providing a wide range of monitoring and analytical services across the UK. With the Air Quality and Emissions Show taking place today and tomorrow, Trevor Worrall, business development manager, Air Quality and Emissions, ESG, was on stand providing advice on air quality monitoring and testing.
With the Emissions conference taking place as part of today’s event, it was the right time for us to catch up with Trevor to find out what had been discussed.
All about emissions
Day one was all about regulation for stack emissions, a perfect opportunity for me - as a technical expert in this field - to get stuck in for a chat with both existing and prospective clients.
There were 10 presentations throughout the day, covering topics such as compliance requirements of European Directives, monitoring SO2 emissions, the impact of new CEN standards for HF & HCl, as well as NOx, Hg & sulphur abatement techniques. It was a great turn out for the first day.
We had lots of enquiries on the stand for both stack emissions and environmental monitoring so we could really boast about our MCERTS accreditation, and offer our advice and worldwide services. And there is plenty to shout about as the largest established MCERTS accredited monitoring consultancy with over 50 MCERTS certified personnel and market leading equipment. Basically put, it means we can respond to the most complex of monitoring requests quickly!
We got to talk to some great clients from the waste to energy and waste management sectors, as well as power generation and automotive sectors, about routine monitoring for compliance with environmental permitting requirements and obligations, QAL2 & AST of Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems, and monitoring of substitute fuel trials and co-incineration plant.
Pop to the ESG stand tomorrow to meet our team. What’s more, our very own business development director, Zoe Cooper, Energy & Waste, will be updating us on all of the happening from day two in tomorrow’s blog.
